I hid under a staircase after being chased by a monster and now I can't get out. How to fix?
Loading a save 1 hour back IS NOT A FIX...

If you are stuck and can't move to be killed by a monster or anything, loading an earlier save is the fix. If your last save before getting stuck is 1 hour old, then you have not done anything important during that 1 hour to progress (as it would have saved a lot for each time considerable progress was made). So the actual time you would have to replay would be quite short I think (hope).

If you can reach anything that can be picked up you may be able to work you way out somehow...
