Immediate Game Crash - noodlez - 12-14-2010
Hello!
I bought Amnesia from Steam. I am running Windows 7 64-bit Home Premium, with an nVidia GTX 470 and an AMD Phenom 965 (I think) Quad-core.
Problem: The launcher comes up. I click launch game, and Windows immediately tells me Amnesia has stopped working.
I have no hpl.log. I only have the Launcher and main settings.cfg

Additional Information 4: 277e19c30fbd5f6bb531ec9e027c37c3I browsed your forums before posting, so I did update my drivers and I updated my .net framework because I saw that as a suggestion in another thread. I have also tried running Amnesia as a stand-alone I guess, I went to the steam folder and just use the Amnesia application. It crashed the same way. I have attached my Launcher, if you require my main_settings, let me know.

I'm guessing there is a permission problem if it crashes and there is no hpl.log in My Documents/Amnesia/. What if you run Amnesia.exe as an admin?

Well don't I feel like a dope. I enabled administrator control for both Launcher and Amnesia, the in amnesia dark descent folder. It all works fine now!
