friend, my english is less, and I still dont know what Red did mistake to us ? why we cant trust him ? I just know that he helped us during the game..

On topic: We can't trust Red/his mistake was being infected himself. It was driving him mad, as it drives Philip mad in Black Plague, and without any hope of escaping it as we have through (mad) science, he implores you to end his suffering.

I haven't played this game yet, though I'm watching Mangaminx's Lets Plays (gotta shell out the money for Amnesia at some point, making due with the demo for now.)
I really like the lyricism that went into writing Red's lines so far, and the voice actor was well chosen. It's difficult to write that subtle combination of endearing yet distant, and I can only imagine how much work went into getting it just right. If Red weren't well written he would be a very hard character to like, and it must have taken a lot of effort to hammer out the kinks in writing for his character.
You just have to admire that kind of dedication from the game staff.

The whole burning part wasn't as emotional to me, it took me a while to find the button to turn it on and even longer to figure out how to find the key Red left me so I was just like
