Game crashes, reasons same, but never works - KWHP77 - 01-21-2011
Hello, thanks for anyone who'll reply me first, im having a problem that says
"Amnesia.exe caused an EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION in module <UNKNOWN> at 001B:0000000"
then when i troubleshoot it, the reason changed
"Could not load main init file: config/main_init.cfg"
How do you fix this?? im getting really frustated with this

Make sure the installation is complete and that you have permissions to run the game in its current installation directory. Try running the game and launcher as administrator perhaps. Sounds like it is some type of permission problem or missing/corrupt file.

I tried running it as administrator and checked file integrity and it still won't start up.

I did what you've said, and it still didnt work.. But when i tried in a computer at the store i bought. It works! Same CD.. And then when i tried at mine, it fails.. Thx for the information but it still didnt work

Your dvd/cd driver fine? HDD is messed? Windows is messed?
Windows 7 beta were one bad thing about messing stuff.. (drivers, registry, directx9 .dll did lose when installed new game etc...)
Some dvd- drivers can read some disc and another one wont... My driver were little problems but after flashing new firmware it did work.
