( Credits go to : " Sessoneon " aka " Ryan Trahey " for the original work and little me for the adding of Daniel and some other stuff )

This and the original picture (with the rose) are both sooo much better than that stupid 'monster in your face' crap. I'm American and I am actively turned off by it.

The person who did the box art even did a horrible Photoshop job.

Why couldn't Frictional supply a box art for their game?

Dear god that box art is terrible.

I wouldn't expect a comment from the devs as that would be self-deprecating. Even if they think the artwork is crap I don't think anyone would slate their own creation especially if it endangers a link to a big publisher.

Perhaps a subtle reverse psychology based hint at a suggestion of their opinions instead.

But as a lowly peon myself with no financial considerations I can freely say that that artwork is garbage and goes against the point of the game: don't look at the monsters.

If you are going to make the game American friendly you're going to have to put that desert eagle and m16 in as well as full flood lighting.

How come the cover says THQ and there is nothing mentions Frictional?
Did they have an agreement on publishing or so?

If THQ is publishing and Frictional didn't specifically say in the contract that they wanted front cover billing on the box art, THQ doesn't have to do any more than put a tiny credit in smallest font possible on the back of the box. Look at any Telltale CSI game, the box says Ubisoft huge all over it, TTG is only a tiny logo on the back.

I see, however, a stupid gamer, which is very common, could easily be confused and think that this great game was developed by THQ, which is simply impossible.

I think it sucks, too, and publishers that do it should be ashamed of themselves.

Is it not enough for them to be responsible for bringing such a great game to market? Why must they attempt to imply via misleading packaging that they also created it?

Wow, I'm really surprised by the "official" box. As a few have already mentioned my fan box, and because of how terrible THQ did on the "official" one, I decided to throw a few new front covers of it together. Let me know what you like and don't like.

Blend the pictures of the fountain into the paper.

First and last are great, don't like the Alexander ones though.
