Is that normal ? Timonater and Ruthenium, What hardware are running on? specifically the sound card. RE: Linux Beta Demo and Feedback - Urkle - 03-24-2007 tmw Wrote:Hi, first i want to say its nice to see a new commercial linux game once in a while, so thanks for that. Are you running the x86 version of Ubuntu or x86_64? Also what hardware are you running it on? (cpu, video, sound, etc..) 2 others have reported this error. And it is quite odd. I'm getting ready to test it myself in Ubuntu 6.10 x86. RE: Linux Beta Demo and Feedback - Ruthenium - 03-24-2007 I have a PIV 2.8 Ghz 1 go ram Nvidia 6800 gt sound blaster live 5.1 (EMU10K1) I also have another question, I tested the windows demo and it seemed faster with mouse handling, I got back to linux and change the mouse sensitivity to 2.0 and now there's almost no difference in speed. Maybe the default 1.0 is a bit slow ? RE: Linux Beta Demo and Feedback - tmw - 03-24-2007 Urkle Wrote:Are you running the x86 version of Ubuntu or x86_64? Also what hardware are you running it on? Extract PenumbraDemo.sh into a target dir Code: ./PenumbraDemo.sh --target /some/temp/dir This happens because the fltk and ncurs binaries in /some/temp/dir/bin/linux/x86/libc.so.6/libstdc++.so.6 can not be extracted properly (NOTE: bin/linux/x86/libc.so.6/libstdc++.so.6 might be different on your system. This path was created by the PenumbraDemo.sh script) The getbinlibdir subroutine returned this for LCPPDIR: bin/linux/x86/libc.so.6/libstdc++.so.2.* which cannot be handled by the rest of the script. 3. Extract the file /some/temp/dir/bin/linux/x86/libc.so.6/libstdc++.so.6/fltk.lzma manually. In /some/temp/dir/bin/linux/x86/libc.so.6 issue: Code: $ ./lzma-decode libstdc++.so.6/fltk.lzma libstdc++.so.6/fltk 4. Then at the end of startupinstaller.sh I removed some stuff and set FRBIN manually, so the last for loop reads: Code: for LCPP in $LIBSTDCPPS RE: Linux Beta Demo and Feedback - Thib_G - 03-24-2007 I'm running Ubuntu 6.10, and penumbrademo.bin fails with SIGFPE. Here is the output of gdb : Code: (gdb) run By the way, I had trouble to register onto this forum ( your SMTP server is probably refused by free.fr ), please delete Thib and ThibG |
