Worst possible spawn point... - gandalf91 - 03-16-2011
So I'm in those spider tunnels. And I got past the part where the boulder rolls down behind you and the spiders kill me...now whenever I hit continue I spawn at a point with four live spiders directly in front of my face. Needless to say, I only get to live for about five seconds. To be honest, I found it slightly funny, but quite frustrating.
I realize now I've also made two threads complaining about stuff in the game, but don't get me wrong, I am enjoying it for the most part.

You dont have to change the function to 0.0, You can set it just a bit lower then the normal damage- And changing back to normal once you pass that area.

The problem with going faster was that I was being limited by the rate at which I could swing the pickaxe, combined with the maximum speed I could move while crouched... Anyway, I just loaded an earlier save in which I still had dynamite...Got back to the spider tunnels, waited for those suckers to hatch, then blew them to hell with the dynamite!
Anyway, I started reading that post even so. Thanks for the advice.

I had this same problem. I had to go back to an earlier save, and that time, I used the flashlight and breezed through.

Yeah, I didn't know the flashlight would work when I played since I swore I had tried it and it didn't...but I was mistaken. Anyway, I reloaded and used dynamite to kill them.
