Create a Custom wheel !? - stonecutter - 03-28-2011 Well i created a custom wheel with blender its a little arrow you can use for a clock. Now i create the wheel with the model editor i can load it and use it in the game but it shows only the handsymbol but i wont turn in any direction. i created a shape and then a body and set the body to the model ... set the settings to wheel and then created a joint_hinge ! Now the problem it wont work ... The joint_hinge , has it to be inside the green box oder outside , and whats about the parent and child thing ? ![]() RE: Create a Custom wheel !? - MrBigzy - 03-29-2011 When you say you set it to wheel, you set the type to wheel under user variables right? RE: Create a Custom wheel !? - jens - 03-29-2011 Only attach Body_1 as a child to the joint and leave the parent for the joint empty. RE: Create a Custom wheel !? - stonecutter - 03-29-2011 ok i will try this out !! Update 1: Well doenst work too .... now step by step 1. I load the .dae file. 2. create a shape and resize it to the model and create a body with the shape. 3. I connect the shape to my model by going to outline. 4. i change the user defined variables to "wheel" 5. I create a joint_hinge and attack it as a child to the body . 6. I save it , load it in my map and load the custom story but wheel wont work ... what i am doing wrong ? Update 2: now its working .... i forget to set anything in the body category like " mass " "Angular dumping" . Now searching for the right field which was the problem .... I think it was the "mass" field cause it was set to "0" Update 3: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sez61s7OxZ0 |
