Dr. Eminiss (spoiler) - gandalf91 - 04-05-2011

So first of all, the part where you hand the saw to Eminiss behind the door and the subsequent mayhem has to be one of the scariest gaming moments I've encountered to date! Anyway though, it sparked a few questions in my mind.

1) That infected thing that comes crashing out of the door...I assume that's Eminiss, right? Was he already in that state before you give him the saw, or was he just that close to completely becoming one of the infected?

2) Was he really trying to help you at all? Or did he just want the saw perhaps to try and cut off the door knob (or craft some other means of escape)?

RE: Dr. Eminiss (spoiler) - thepaleking - 04-06-2011

He DID try to cut his own hand off, thus the blood all over the floor. I think maybe when the virus realized its host was about to kill itself (no way was he going to survive) it aggressively took him over.

RE: Dr. Eminiss (spoiler) - Gharren - 04-07-2011

Maybe he just wanted to make a little joke.

Like the joke...
Spoiler below!

Clarence plays on you and makes you kill Amabel?

that part made me so sad. Sad

I feel that thepaleking got it right in every way. Normally the virus doesn't let you kill yourself, but he was in such a state that he wouldn't realize severing a hand would cause him to bleed out, meaning the virus had to use the 'nuclear option', so to speak.

Yeah, I liked his explanation a lot.
