Chancel - Something isn't right, nothing is working - Linux.Blue - 04-08-2011

I know, I am cheating some, reading a walkthrough. According to the walkthrough, I am to enter the Chancel and soon to my "amazement", see a few monsters.
First time doing this, and hearing the flashbacks, I came to see 0 monsters. I walked in all three rooms, nothing.
came out in the center, heard a flashback, then nothing.
I reloaded the game, and I now see 1 monster. I reloaded that many times, only to see 1, and if I travel too far from him, or just whatever, he disappears.

What is going on here?

Those three monsters will only appear if you have all six pieces of the orb, which can be found in the torture chambers.

thanks. I had only 5 of them. Now that I got 6, I was able to get ambushed and finish the game. One of those loading screens mentioned a piece of great music, Scheherazade.
very pretty music.

Pretty interesting game. Penumbra was in ways, nicer.
