Render? - Danjun - 05-01-2011

Hey

I don't know where to post this -Hi I am new btw - This is more of a REQUEST thread, Sorry if someone minds this post... Angel

I used to play Amnesia but I got another PC and it has built in Intel card (FAMILY q35 or something), I know it meets all the requirements but I still can't play the game(It gives the VOALTION error, AND YES I have the latest drivers, did that three times), Is it possible that developers of this game make a patch that uses Direct 3d render so that intel guys can run this? Please Heart (Amnesia uses OPENGL atm right?)

Amnesia uses OpenGL, yes, but I don't think it'd be easy to convert whole engine to Dx, since developers already moved on the new-super-secret-game.

If you still have your old PC you could try switching the graphics cards. Assuming that you aren't going from a desktop to a laptop or vice-versa.

Replacing graphics cards is about as simple as it comes when upgrading PC components. You can find tutorials if you search for it.

Did you copy it across, or re-install?

sorry to be rude but....ffs this was a request thread to devs to make Amnesia run on intel cards, My built-in card has pixel shader 2 ( Intel® Q35 Express Chipset Family) so I donot get why the game shouldnt be able to run while I can run TF2, L4d, HL2?

RE: Render? - jens - 05-24-2011

It's a driver issue with intels integrated graphics chips and not something we can fix.

RE: Render? - plutomaniac - 05-25-2011

I'm sorry but you cannot play the game with this graphics card. The newest driver from intel for your gpu is from 2009. The newer models have been updated with a 4/2011 driver which has an updated version of opengl and so Amnesia can be played.
