I've had that problem for the last 2 weeks anytime i try to open it in steam,Any help would be appreciated.

Check the Steam forum for help on Steam issues. I think you have to delete some .blob file or similar to fix this issue.

Yeah, it's a problem with steam trying to communicate with it's servers. If deleting the clientregistry.blob doesn't work, you can try changing download content locations, or running the game .exe from inside the steamapps folder. (Which is essentially a 'trap avoided' trick)
