I surely sound like a newb, but can I save where i want? what key is quicksave?

Guess not,.. it save when you touch an artifact and when you see a red flash in the scree and I think it's all.
I agree not having a savegame system is pretty poor. Let's say my friend want to play the game he can't because if he create a new game it would overwrite my saves.

If you want to save a savegame, you can click on "add to favorites" and it will be available under favorites and never be deleted.
