Fascist school district bans shorts; boys wear skirts instead - samusaran253 - 05-11-2011

Someone else posted this on another forum about how a fascist school district attempted to implement a school uniform and of course everyone hates school uniforms, so they found a loophole in the rules, allowing male students to wear female clothing (but barring them from wearing male clothing). Honestly, what the fuck is wrong with the school board to even attempt such heresy? What sort of fascist school is that? How could any school district impose such a law that would ban the freedom to wear what you want (within reason)? It's unthinkable! Even in Nazi Germany the dress codes weren't that strict. This young man is a hero for fighting the good fight and finding a loophole in the rules. Luckily this sort of thing could never happen in America, since we'll never have uniforms or strict dress codes here. Discuss this boys heroics here.

I personally would tell the school to fuck off if they would apply School uniforms. but in Holland they don't do such things. Maybe on a Christian school, but not here.

Same here, I'm out of high school forever in less than 20 days, but I would go out with a bang if they tried to implement a dress code. I'm not sending my children to a school where they have a required school uniform, if I wanted that I'd send him/her to a hardcore religious private school.

Good for the kid, I hope he's able to get more people involved in that kind of thing.

Indeed. But he's British, and England is a total mess right now. Their government just keeps getting more and more totalitarian. First they took away their guns, then they took away their knives, then they took away their airsoft/fake guns, then they took away their pornography, now they're taking away their clothes, and in a few months they're taking away their internet (the British government passed a law to allow them to monitor and censor the internet for any of their citizens).

Geez, and I thought France was bad.
Note to self: forget about trying to get a job in England. How is Ireland? Big Grin

My high school has a dress code that bans t-shirts with graphics on them.

The only people who care are security guards. Recently I was chatting with a few friends, and the man in charge of campus safety walked by and noticed that one of the kids had an Abercrombie shirt peeking out of his partially zipped hoodie. The man began playing with the zipper to show that such a heretic image should be covered up or else everyone will see it. His last six words to us were, "And we just can't have that."

Good thing religion is dying, and those Christian fundamentalists like the guy you mentioned and the people who support school uniforms will cease to exist.

1. Germany did not have any particular dress codes within a regular civilian life during Hitler's rule. They were actually quite free as long as they were not jewish/black/other things Hitler didn't like.
2. American schools had strict dresscodes up to several times.
3. I do agree that's pretty stupid, but I ask, how can a school district be fascist? Are you just throwing it out to make it more dramatic?

England was always a mess, and so is yours and every other government out there. In fact the censorship-law Britain passed was a suggestion by the US, it's called ACTA (Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement).

Do you seriously think that's freedom? I can find many many more links on stuff like that, and to be honest, US is the worst on censoring after North Korea and China. Don't think US is so much better than everyone else, they're not.

Did you know US has a large station in Scotland dedicated to sniffing phone calls, SMS, internet traffic etc. in Europe?

Also, Totalitarian is when there is one single leader, otherwise it's called Authoritarian.

I think my high school had a dress code, but it wasn't strictly enforced. I think the only people sent home had underwear showing. Seemed reasonable.
