We are hiring: Programmer wanted! - Thomas - 05-18-2011 Frictional Games is now looking for a talented programmer to join the company! You will be working for a small team with a big focus on finding new and innovating solutions. We want you who are not afraid to explore uncharted territory and constantly learn new things. Self-discipline and independence are also important traits as all work will be done from home. Some the things you will work with include:
All coding is in C++, so great skills in that is imperative. You should also be living in Sweden or a time-zone nearby. If you are fit in other areas we are of course prepared to be flexible. If interested send CV to: jobs [at] frictionalgames [dot] com What we are most interested in seeing is evidence, in form of things you have done, that you are qualified. Having interesting works to show off can make up for any gaps in knowledge. RE: We are hiring: Programmer wanted! - laser50 - 05-18-2011 I guess Frictional Games will release games on the Xbox 360 aswell. Nice I was hoping that they won't... but... it seems like they will... Don't think that I like that so much... it's just gonna delay PC version in my opinion RE: We are hiring: Programmer wanted! - hollowleviathan - 05-18-2011 If they're hiring a specialist for console development, then I really doubt it will slow main branch development, just the new person will be responsible for porting it to consoles. RE: We are hiring: Programmer wanted! - Yuhaney - 05-18-2011 Same thing as Urkle does with the Mac and Linux version of the game(s). RE: We are hiring: Programmer wanted! - xiphirx - 05-18-2011 Damnit! I am just about to start learning 3D math in college ;__; I would have applied, hope you guys find someone awesome! RE: We are hiring: Programmer wanted! - MrBigzy - 05-18-2011 Does a degree in engineering and (future) bachelor of computer engineering count as evidence? I wish. D: Sidenote: I really hate zerg. RE: We are hiring: Programmer wanted! - Bek - 05-20-2011 Tomorrow when I check this, the OP had better be replaced with the biggest trollface ever. RE: We are hiring: Programmer wanted! - Droopy - 05-20-2011 Good luck guys RE: We are hiring: Programmer wanted! - Redeemer - 05-20-2011 I posted a link to this thread on a forum I attend that's swimming with guys who do this kind of stuff all the time. I hope you can find someone who fits the bill. I would apply myself, but unfortunately I'm more practiced in building very low level software renderers, and I have never used C++ or made use of any modern video hardware. On top of that, I'm still a student, so I don't have time for this... |
