I'm looking for a 2D artist! - Googolplex - 05-24-2011

Hello guys!

As you may know, I created some new photo-real textures for Penumbra.
And I planned to release a texture pack in high quality, which replaces all the old computer generated low detail textures.

But I can not create textures for objects (tables, chairs, boxes, doors,...)
If someone from you know, how to use the "blender" to create new textures for the models, you can sent me a message.

We can release it together!
Otherwise, the project is sinking into the sea.

I COULD do the UVing, assuming I can open the models in Max / Zbrush and either re do the UV's for the objects or alter the existing ones?

My time is quite stretched at the moment between a few things, but I'm still interested in helping out. I can also get you some videos which will explain how to do the UV's in blender for you if you want, it's not that hard. Anyway, let me know.

Please, can you make a new UV map to show me?
I wanted to see the table in boat cabin with bigger map.

Can you do that?
I just wanted to see, if it is possible.

I need the model. If the Model or UV itself isn't being changed afaik you could just upscale the same UV, but you'd obviously have to re-do the content - so take say a 512x512 diffuse map and change it to 1024 then re do all the information.. or you could do it a few different ways. Do you have msn / skype or something?

Looks like the models are .dae, not sure how to open them... yet... probably need blender or something.

guck dir doch mal 2 tutorials zu uvs und blender an, dann ist das ganz einfach.
Naja, also in blender machste den uv/image editor auf, dann das model im edit mode komplett auswählen (a) dann im uv editor: uv - script - save uv face layout , da kannst du dann die upscalen
Aber irgendwie haste dann immer noch keine quadratische uvs wie beim boden...
Hmm irgendwie drehst du dich da im kreis und die uvs alle ändern ist ja viel arbeit und super langweilig ^^ biste da fertig bist ist das nächste spiel schon raus und da du nur wände oder fußböden bis jetzt "texturit" hast, wirst du eh probleme mit gegenständen haben...
Ist nur was ich denke
