Steam Amnesia, can't launch - da54sdfasdfsa - 06-12-2011
I try to launch Amnesia through Steam, and this pop-up appears.

Running Windows 7 x64, reinstalled the game via Steam, drivers updated etc.

That's a message when steam has trouble connecting to its servers, try running the amnesia exe from the steamapps folder.

I tried that with the Launcher and Amnesia.exe, it says
Quote:Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item.
The same with "Run as Administrator mode".

Do you have the game on your Regular drive?
I've never seen or had this.
Is there only one account (yours) On your PC?

I have two Administrator accounts, and I transferred steam to another HDD (internal) because C: was not adequately large enough for it D:

try disabling the antivirus first and if that causes the problem you should uninstall it since it is really bad.

Did you just copied Steam folder or uninstall everything then install on another driver?

It has nothing to do with that, I did that a year ago, the problem started only recently. I could run Amnesia after the transfer, I followed the instructions on Steam Support. Also, as I stated in the first post I did a re-install.

It might have something to do with that, as far as I know back-up-ing first is the recommended option before formatting or changing hard driver.
It's a Steam issue in anyway.
