Jumping bug and Voiceover issue. - GexX2 - 04-08-2007 Not really that important, but thought I'd report it. All it is is that if you press spacebar and hit and hold tab, you'll jump like 3x higher farther in slo-mo. Thought you might want to know before you release the patch :3 After further investigation, if you do it right, you can keep going in whatever direction you want without touching the ground. Also, When I get Spoiler below!
voice cuts out right at the last word of every sentence. RE: Jumping bug and Voiceover issue. - Dark - 04-08-2007 it is allready known about the jump exploit but about the sound...hmmm...try reinstalling OpenAL or the game (be sure to backup the savegames) RE: Jumping bug and Voiceover issue. - Thomas - 04-08-2007 The sound issue will be looked into next week hopefully. What sound card do you have? RE: Jumping bug and Voiceover issue. - Luis - 04-08-2007 There are some issues with the sound that need fixing, so any info we can get will be very appreciated Please post your 'hpl.log' file. By the way, does this happen only with the voiceovers, or also with music? I mean, do you get glitches on the playback, like small cuts/crackles? You could try to change the StreamUpdateFreq="10" in settings.cfg to a higher number, like 20. Please do this, and tell me if that worked at all. Anyway, this will be hopefully fixed by a patch in the near future, so stay tuned RE: Jumping bug and Voiceover issue. - GexX2 - 04-08-2007 No crackles. Its only Red's voiceovers too. The intros voice has no issues. And my sound card is a Soundblaster Audigy 2 HPL.log Wrote: I'll try changing the config. That didn't help :\ He still stops 1-2 words before the sentence ends, and moves on to the next one. RE: Jumping bug and Voiceover issue. - Willbreaker - 04-09-2007 This is because of sound acceleration. I had the same problem in Fallout 2. I think it is because of the acceleration, but it was like that for me in Fallout. Perhaps this helps. Run->dxdiag->Sound 1 and turn off the slider (move it to the left). /Breaker RE: Jumping bug and Voiceover issue. - Dark - 04-09-2007 he means the acceleration slider btw didnt tought of that, had a problem with SA (allmost no sound or fx) and when putting this to basic acceleration fixed it RE: Jumping bug and Voiceover issue. - Willbreaker - 04-09-2007 Cool! Hope it helps GexX2 as well 8). /Breaker |
