I advice you to play both of these games
Darkness Within: In Pursuit of Loath Nolder
Darkness Within 2: The Dark Lineage
both are psychological horror Adventure games based on the work of H.P. Lovecraft.
the first game is point and click but the second is in first person
i played them both and they were awesome.

I think the creator of Phobia asked Frictional for permission before he added the music to the game. If my memory don't deceive me, he stated that he did on the TGC forums.

You probably got something by now, but there are several custom maps of amnesia that have quality as the real game, just google em.

ontopic: FEAR 1 was actually scary to me, 2 not and 3 just sucks.
I saw Nightmare House 2 on Youtube and ive got to admit its pretty scary... some horror scenes even top FEAR 1.
But most of the scares are "cheap in your face moments."
