Bought the game on steam and now i want to try it on linux - naelstrof - 07-09-2011 I bought Amnesia: The dark descent recently in the potato sack pack on steam, i want to try the experience natively in linux but i can't get a hold of the linux files. Is there a place i can download them? Steam doesn't offer these options since it's built for windows. Edit: Let me rephrase, i can't get a hold of the linux files through Frictional Games Store. Is it not possible for me to play it on linux simply because i bought it for windows? RE: Bought the game on steam and now i want to try it on linux - Tanshaydar - 07-09-2011 Only Penumbra series' Linux binaries are available for download. Steam only offers Windows and Mac support for Amnesia: The Dark Descent; and Linux version of Amnesia is only available through Frictional Games Store. RE: Bought the game on steam and now i want to try it on linux - naelstrof - 07-09-2011 So i'd have to rebuy it on the store or is there a way to validate that i bought the game? Thanks for the quick reply RE: Bought the game on steam and now i want to try it on linux - naelstrof - 07-10-2011 I guess i'll just boot into windows to play it. RE: Bought the game on steam and now i want to try it on linux - Tanshaydar - 07-10-2011 If Steam brings Linux support, most likely Amnesia will be included. |
