It is a wonderfully horrible idea for Red, isn't it xD

RE: Penumbra in Sims 3 - eiahmon - 08-18-2011

I think so. XD

Now where in the hell is that ceiling tile.....

most of the textures has to be at the textures folder and those that are for models, are mainly at models folder. You could also search the PB folder... Smile

Nice!
I would buy this house xD

Back with a few more pics. XD

Here is the layout of the place, along with a list of where everything is. You can plainly see the changes I had to make to make everything fit. The computer area, infirmary, and the storage area are just barely within the borders of the lot. The bottom of the machine room is within four tiles of it.

Amabel's bathroom; her rooms are now complete. XD

The second wall and floor pattern for the corridors. It took me a while to get that floor to tile propery before I could import it into the game. I am glad it's done.

The Shelter Map. Not the frame I wanted, but Sims 3 Object Cloner hasn't been updated since last November and so doesn't show anything from the expansion and stuff packs that have been released since then. It doesn't even show everything from the base game. What was worse, was that any attempt to change the color and pattern of the frame resulted in the picture blurring. If S3OC is ever updated, I'll do a better version.

I'm not sure what area I'm going to do next. Once the corridors and bedrooms are done, I'll be heading into areas where the walls are going to take a lot more work to make. Some of them are going to require highly detailed RGB masks so the finished wall can be colored appropriately. Floors won't be so difficult; I just need to find a nice repeating pattern and stuff it into the game via Create a Pattern.

Oh, would you believe that I still haven't found that #%@#@!!! ceiling tile?

Amazing work! Keep it up. About that ceiling, how does it look like in-game? In Penumbra I mean.

Wow, that's fantastic!

Uhhhhh *looks* It's made up of grey concrete panels that are cracked, turning black where they meet the wall and strained a rusty red where they meet each other.

And while I was in the game looking at that, I noticed that the walls have crown moldings. Those crown moldings aren't there when you look at the texture files. Damn, if I had noticed them before, I would have cloned a wall panel that had a crown molding. Grrrrrr

EDIT: I found it. *bangs head off desk* Right there in concrete ceiligns, where I've looked a dozen times.
