HELP! BIOS beeping - ObsidianLegion - 08-18-2011

My computer makes constant beeping noises coming from the tower itself, not the speakers. I've looked this up on the internet and nothing meets my criteria. It's a pretty clear and loud beep. Although nothing like the startup beep. It's more low pitched. I'm running Windows XP Service Pack 3 with a AMD 2500+ Processor
7300GT Nvidia Graphics Card
1GB RAM
ASRock Motherboard (That's all the info on the motherboard I have)

If I don't get this fixed my computer will eventually break. I really, REALLY need help. Sad

Also, the beeping has NO pattern whatsoever

Probably your rams or motherboard is screwed. Unplug the rams and try to open your pc to see if beeping sequence changes.

Only have 1 RAM Unit seated on my motherboard. Won't removing it completely screw it up?

You can re-plug it in, don't worry, and you don't think motherboards are produced with rams plugged in, do you Tongue

It will help you to understand if it's ram that is broken, or motherboard.

Most probably your ram is screwed, if you can try with a new ram you can check it out.

I was on about upgrading to 4GB of RAM anyway. So it's not all that bad eh?

Well, now you have a reason to buy some Smile
However, I suggest you to make sure it is a Ram problem. If not, you might need to take care of something else.

Either way, I'll still get my RAM ^.^

Try putting the ram back and see if you can hear the beeping again. If yes, remove the memory and try again. If not, then it is a memory problem. You could also hear the beeping sequence and consult your motherboard manual. These sounds are always included there.
