Post: RE: Issues with activation code

Nice to hear they're at least responding... I'm glad I got a physical copy. Overzealous copy protection that uses internet explorer settings and needs to register online and will only work on your on...

I'm running the game on a Shader 1.4 video card just fine. I have it set to medium shader detail.

Post: RE: To what game could Penumbra be compared to?

System Shock 2 is one I'm reminded of. Similar enemy style (for the beginning enemies), similar enviroment, and Red has a fair bit in common with Xerxes and Shodan. :P

Do you get what I meant? I was talking about the continue button on the game over screen. If I load a previous save, then die, continue doesn't load me back at where I was, it loads me at the furthest...

Post: RE: Penumbra Sales Figures?

I'd imagine that it's too early to have an accurate idea of how many sales there were, and that that info is entirely from the publishers. Friction has nothing to do with actually SELLING the game, af...

I spent the entire game waiting for a use for the padlock (that you get from opening the locker in your cabin) in my inventory. :P Maybe it'll come into play in Episode 2 as well.

I've got a real clear idea of what the game is about and what threat to the world Philip's talking about in the loading screen messages. :P The book on grey worms near the end has a big bit of obvious...

I liked Red, too. His dialogue was really well written, and the voice acting was superb. :P Though how he knew you were listening and where you were in order to give contextually accurate vague advice...

It would kinda dumb to mention a Howard and not be talking about the Howard earlier discussed without giving some kind of sign that it really WASN'T THAT Howard you're talking about. It would be like ...

You don't get much extra difficulty from not being able to save anywhere in Penumbra. You've got automatic healing just from standing around, there are few enemies, and the main difficulty is from puz...
