I think you most likely have a big-ass spotlight/boxlight/fog area that is like over 200 x 200 x 200.

Thanks ! The atmosphere of the game inspired me a bit : ). I want to give to the modern areas that decayed aspect that Dark Corners of the Earth, and Penumbra in some areas, had. |

That kind of things only happened to me with boxlights/spotlights that were too big. Is your fog area like 500x500x500 ?
Usually I fixed this issue by reducing the size of the boxlights to something ... |
