Thread: Spiders
Post: RE: Spiders
There should be spiders in Amnesia. They were a spooky, yet memorable part of Penumbra. I think all of Frictional's games should have at least some spiders as a wink to previous games :) |

Thread: PreOrder Par is going up!
Post: RE: PreOrder Par is going up!
I was number 382 I think. With another gameplay video and more advertising that the preorders will be good for Steam, the numbers will skyrocket. |

It's Helloween4545! I love your videos man :) Amnesia is going to be amazing, possibly even better than Penumbra. I've put a big Amnesia banner and link to the official site in my forum signatures ... |

Thread: What is Amnesia: The Dark Descent
Post: RE: What is Amnesia: The Dark Descent
I really love the subtitle "The Dark Descent". But Amnesia I'm not sure about. A great many games these days fall back on amnesia as a crutch for getting the story started. Surely there is a better... |

They merged the last two into one: Black Plague. However they are making a new game, Unknown, which is likely to be even better than Penumbra. The small trailers released so far look amazing. Have... |

Thread: Unknown's scares
Post: RE: Unknown's scares
Interesting point, Kedjane. I think that most devs of today just don't understand what really makes a scary game. As H.P. Lovecraft himself once said, fear of the unknown is the greatest fear mankin... |

Thread: What the Heck's wrong with Requiem?
Post: RE: What the Heck's wrong with Requiem?
I didn't like Requiem either. It wasn't bad, but it didn't feel like Penumbra at all. I've beaten it once and have no plans to ever do so again. It just seemed out of place. |

Thread: Unknown's scares
Post: RE: Unknown's scares
Doom 3 had some good atmosphere, don't get me wrong. But it had too many boo scares as well. Dead Space was the same way. A great game, but often featured monsters leaping out of nowhere right next... |

I don't like motion blur. I always keep it off in all games I play. It just makes games needlessly blurry to me. |

Post: Unknown's scares
I hope Unknown continues the Penumbra-esque type of horror built around atmospheric suspense and dread. I don't want Unknown to use any cheap "boo!" scares that games like Doom 3 use. A monster popp... |

Bosses would detract from the very foundation of what Penumbra/Unknown is about. In Penumbra, you're alone, virtually defenseless, and every single monster is a life threatening challenge. By having... |

I would very much like to hear all the Themes in all of the games on the official soundtrack. Include some ambience as well, but themes should come first. They're far too great not to include :) |
