Penumbra: Overture - Steam Room

The room you enter by taking the conveyor belts. Can't get past this for the life of me. Any suggestions? I can't progress and don't want to start with Black Plague until I have finished Overture.

Take your time and look at the steam, see the pattern how it loops the sequence, then basically you run diagonal across in two steps. When steam go out, run diagonal to a square you know will not have steam when it goes on the next time, then as soon as the steam goes off, run again and I think you should have enough time to be safe or maybe have to do one more stop before taking the final run.
