I don't know much about this but it sounds quite serious. Because I don't live in the US this isn't too much of a massive concern to me but still, you have to think of others so I thought i'd spread the word.

The thing is, it is a major concern to you. Many of the websites we use are based in USA and if they´re blocked there it will have a huge negative impact on us. TotalBiscuit made a great video explainging SOPA and equally horrible PIPA:

The only issue i have with SOPA is that it takes ideas from PIPA and the fact that much of the description of SOPA is too vague to be used in practice. No country should have the right to tell another country what to do and being vague allows for just about anything.

I've actually only just heard of this like about 20 minutes ago. I am aware that this will have huge effects across the world, I find the whole bill a huge disgrace to freedom and mankind.

Speaking to a few american friends online, they seem relaxed about it as they think Obama will sort it out and that the whole idea is ludacris and serves no threat. I hope they're right.
