Question  Question: Just a question about PointLights

Hey, how come PointLights on 03_archives.map(The real game map) never seem to light up the walls? Huh
I've even made my own PointLight inside their map to see if it gives away any light what so ever, and it seems to be "invalid" or something, so my question is, how do I make it, so it's the same but on my own custome story map?
Also, is there anyway to make my candle(And candle or lightentity) Light more/Light less? I thought connecting it to a PointLight would work, and it seems to work "kinda" but if the lamp is lit-off, it still makes it apperance on for an exampel, the wall.

I took some printscreens on 2 PointLight with the same exact properties, that would probably show you what I mean( one is from my mod, and the other from the map named above. )

I would guess it's because of the Diffuse color, since it's so dark, it won't light up any room. Change it to white and it might work.

Actually I thought that to, so I made a SpotLight and made density and fov far far so it really should show some light inside THEIR map, strangely it still didn't show of some light on the walls, floor!
It's very strange!

They are most likely connected to the lamps to make their lightup-radius bigger.

Even thought it isn't it still doesnt show up any lightsource at all.

You have to manually add it to the lamp. Just type its name in the Connected Light and change the multiplier to 0.8 or something. The pointlight is usually the same color as your overall boxlight in the level. Of course, the lamp must be lit in order for the pointlight to work.

But if i connect a lamp to an Light entity, it still shows up even though the lamp is not lit, how do i attend this not to happened?

Like I said in the last post, put the color of the pointlight on the same as your boxlight. The multiplier will make it brighter.
