Um, you should know that I said "1 of the few reasons I want this game." not "The only reason I want this game." there is a big difference. Also...I'm christian. So please watch what you say.

That's the first time I've ever been relieved upon hearing "I'm chrstian." because that means that you'll NOT make "flying Jesuses", which is a jumpscare where a naked corpse ("Jesus") is sent hurtling penis first toward the player while screaming. It's the poorest scare ever.

I'm somewhat on your side but come on, grow some thicker skin. Now it's suddenly forbidden to even mention his name?

Since you've never watched porn, be aware that there's penises and lots of torture in this game. You might want to ask your parents for permission first.
You're probably aware of this but it's not necessary. My own feelings on ratings aside, they are not law. Buying M rated games is not illegal if you're underage and you don't need permission from your parents to play them (but don't hide it from them explicitly if they forbade you, because that never works out). Only AO games are strictly illegal to sell or expose to minors, and no game is AO because it kills sales.
^ Agreed

It's not a matter of whether it's legal or not. It's about whether it's healthy. Especially for christians, I imagine that parents would be picky when it comes to raising their children to stay away from participating in blood sacrifices to please demons.

It's not a question of whether it's healthy, but whether he thinks it's a good idea. It's a horrifying game and if you play it when you can't really process everything going on in it you will probably be a bit scarred for a time. However it will not have any permanent effects and it doesn't matter how much the deluded religious parents deprive their children of "inappropriate" imagery it will not do anything but make them more interested in it.

I think in my country, there's an actual crime called "Seduction of minors" which doesn't just apply to sex, but to immoral acts, and leading a minor away from the upbringing decided upon by its parents, like if you encourage a minor with christian parents to do satanic things, then that's a crime. I'm an anarchist, and I'm all for children being allowed to have free will, though, but then there's the psychological issue of how a child will develop if it is encouraged to kill innocent, defenseless people, and I argue that traumatic events can have a big impact of the development of children. Children don't have the moral boundaries set to go: "Oh, this is revolting and terrifying, because I'm not supposed to do this." They are still learning what's right and wrong.

This is where we disagree. First of all I agree with your take on free will and I also fancy myself an anarchist too. But I don't believe in absolute morality because it is BS, and therefore killing innocent and defenseless people is not "bad" in all cases. Like I said in the other debate we had I said I don't believe in any harm coming from video games.

Now, it depends on how old you are and what upbringing you had but if you are out of your preadolescence then you have already been taught the basic morality that prevails in the world. Therefore when presented with imagery that clashes with your moral compass your reaction is generally going to be that of disgust or horror, which does nothing more than solidify your feelings. Is the murder of innocents generally bad? Yes. Is unnecessary torture generally bad? Yes. By presenting these themes in a realistic light and portraying them as horrifying, that's the lesson that's learned. If you present it in an unrealistic manner you do nothing more than show a distorted version of those themes which causes the Coconut Effect.

If Amnesia said: kill this guy to take his key in order to open that door and thought nothing of it, then that's telling you that it's okay to murder people for personal gain, which is a bad message to spread. It doesn't however, all of its themes are realistic and therefore I cannot possibly see how you can become a crazy baby-eating serial killer from playing it.

Perhaps a tad low, but I don't see how this game would ruin your life if you're only 15.
