Requesting people for help!

So for a while after asking two simple questions I just stood up and said "Why not?". I've decided that I want to assemble a team of people to collaborate with me. If you decide that you want to help then I will send you the story. Plus you guys will get some elaborate drawing/sketches of concept art that I want put into this custom story. But for this custom story I'm going to be quite picky for the people I want, I wont just take anyone...

Here are some requirements, you must have:
-Basic and creative knowledge of HPL2 (i.e. you can script a rag doll (naked corpses for example) to walk and make it look natural)
-Basic and creative knowledge of modeling, textures, jointing, and animating
-Great mapping abilities (I will also be mapping but there are going to be times where I will not be able to map, I'll do my best to keep up the mapping though)
-You "must" have knowledge to create particles

You guys will need to know some pretty outside-of-the-box information. For one thing, the mapping is supposed to be very dream-like, so who ever joins will have to be ready for what ever I throw at you. Whether it's an upside-down bridge or gargantuan monster. I'm not saying those will be in the Custom Story but just be prepared for that kind of stuff. I don't want people coming in to help and then just saying that it's too hard for them after I give them something like that.

So just be prepared...

I hope that I can get some support in this custom story. I have been stressing lately and I thought that it would be easy just to do this all by myself. Had to figure out that it isn't the hard way. I seriously want this to be a 9-10 star custom story! Thank you all for the support on this, I hope to hear from somebody soon.

Btw, I will promise that I'll be doing most of the work. I want assistants, I don't want people to take over. I just want a supporting team who can do the job when I need help getting it done or when I need it done at a time where I'm not present.

You won't get anyone to join your team, especially not modelers if you can not show any of your work. Remember that you're asking for peoples time here, you're not the only one with requirements. Post images of your work, some stories, previous modding work etc etc and you'll have a much bigger chanse of people joining you.

In all seriousness though OP, no one will take this seriously; you're asking for quite a bit. Based on your post you make it sound as though you have a few ideas but won't do much of the work. You're also asking for very advanced knowledge of HPL2. Making the naked corpse walk natural/smooth is something I'm sure very very few modelers in this forum could do (perhaps Acies if anyone). Also, you mentioned the mapping needs to be "dream like"; the idea of mods based around dreams is almost unoriginal due to the large amount of them appearing now.

I know everything seems overwhelming, but you will do the best if you learn everything by yourself. Chances are you don't need fancy new animated models/particles, you just need to be creative and work with the defaults of the HPL2 engine (which is a very large amount of resources).

Tl;dr sounds like you want everyone to do the work for you.

I rate it 3 memes.

That isn't my plan , no, not at all what you think. I'm only asking for like a quarter to a half of it being done. I was also composing my own music, and writing a vocal script (for voice actors), concept art, I've also been mapping the entire thing by myself and I barely progress. I wanted to work on this entirely by myself at first, but there are just times where I'm not going to be there to progress and there are times where I need people to help. There will be times where I might need to determine when a "if" should be used in a certain place of the script then I could just have a scripting guy just give me a straight up answer whether it involves him/her explaining to me where I made my mistakes or not. Or when there's a mechanical problem with I don't know... Say... floating platforms, I would consult to him/her. Or maybe I want something modeled and I can't use Blender or whatever it is that people use to model. Or maybe I need a full blown modification to the custom story, I can get all the people I need to help! I don't need professionals to do the work for me. I just need assistants who have creative and opinionated imaginations to do the work when I want help or when I'm not there.

tl;dr- Don't EVER accuse me of being lazy.

Straight-up disagree with that. Your right in suggesting the OP 'try' everything, but when it comes to making the mod, if your looking to make a high quality mod with custom models/animation as well as all the other aspects, it will take a disgusting amount of time. Finding team members who specialise in certain aspects, leaving you to specialise at your aspect, is absolutely the best thing to do. Otherwise, you end up as a jack-of-all-trades and a master of none, the final product will often be sub-par in all aspects unless you mostly only use default Amnesia assets


To the OP, feel free to PM me anytime you want some advice on how to deal with a situation in script, I always enjoy finding solutions to situations I haven't dealt with before
