You are a 20 years old police , You have been search for this "The Unsubscribe Killer" Who kills people in different times , people who kills bad people (Bullies etc) , You have been search about 1 week now , so here you are at "The Unsubscribe Killer's" Office , Find clues and find this son of a bitch!! and throw him to jail!

This, it's extremely negative to think of a jumpscare as bad because of one bad example. That's like saying atmosphere is bad because some venus' atmosphere kills you.

Honestly, a majority of this community doesn't know what jump scares are. Frictional Games used plenty of jump scares. Who can forget the skulls in the desk drawer? Let's not forget the flying naked guy in the prison (YES there was. You can go check right now, I'll be waiting here for you. Can't find it? It's used to slam up against a prison door with a blood particle system effect/brute sound effect. Now go find it. South Prison. Go ahead. Make my day.)

Jump scares need few things to be categorized as jump scares:
>Happen fast
>Are done quickly
>Scary
>Produce a "knee-jerk" type reaction, in most cases causing the player to literally jump. Fun fact, the term jump scare wasn't coined until roughly 1839 (for those of you who don't know, that's the year Amnesia: TDD took place.)
