TRUST ME, if I could come to a logical conclusion, I would. Believe me. But I can not to this day and I don't think I ever will...

Main thesis:
Moonshine, old friend, moonshine (I'm guessing that is the correct term for the swedish word "hembränt").

Logical guesses:
1) The door was left slightly open. Due to heat differences in the air between basement and upper floor the wooden boards of the staircase started expanding and creaking. You imagined this as someone coming up the stairs. Frightened, your senses sharpened, which in turn led you to believe someone was pulling down the handle just as the door opened (opening due to the exchange between cold and hot air - like a vague wind).
2) A burglar had been down in the cellar, who then tried to leave as he heard someone stirring in the house.
3) Hallucinations/schizophrenia, in which everything transpired in your mind. Caused by (?), uh.. Insuffient information to keep on guessing here :> On a sidenote it is believed for example that the hallucinations of "the oracles" were caused by leakings of poisonous gas.

If above guesses are discarded refer back to "Main thesis".

I was in a Skype call with him at the time when it happened, Obliviator even sent a picture to prove it, it happened. Plus having heard her talk with others and briefly talking with her over group Skype calls before I can guarantee you she is mentally sane (or at least if she does have a mental disorder it's not intense enough to cause something like that). And this didn't just happen when she was sleeping, there were a couple of times where (or at least according to Obliviator at the time) she was totally conscious and cuts randomly started appearing. And, I'm sorry, but I highly doubt you could make multiple large cuts run down your body just because you thought about it really hard. And to my knowledge this whole event only took place over one night, so if that whole power of suggestion thing you brought up was really at work here, it probably would have continued happening.

Isn't it interesting that nobody ever says "I've actually had some violent paranormal shit happen to me", but instead you can never hear the end to "Shit's true -- happened to my friend once." I've never met one person that claimed to personally experience something, though even if they did there's no evidence it transpired.
Interesting side note; Are you aware that some humans will spend years of their lives going through college getting a degree, just so they can then boast that the freaky-dumbshit they believe is true? Did you know children will not do anything even remotely close to this because they know it's a useless waste of time? Also, people will then bring up some random person or event that they believe completely falsifies what another says.

Yeah the difference though was I was actually there when it happened and was talking to her at the time. Not really "some scary ghost story my friend told me". I've had my own experiences, but I'm sure if I even tried to say anything everyone in this thread would dump their shit on me like a pile of bricks (considering how they've reacted to everyone else), and to be honest I don't really care to. The only reason I said that was cause Dan was coming to conclusions without even fully knowing the situation, so I felt like Backing Obliviator up.

I don't know. I'm just as confused as you. We were both there, and hey, people are just going to think it's bullshit but it doesn't affect MY life whether they believe it or not. I could go my whole life having lived this stuff and not tell anyone because frankly, they don't give a shit and neither do I. I just felt like sharing and I think that's enough for me. =]

I went to an auction today, I found a film, and luckily it is an super 8 film. How could I resist!? It cost a lot, 150 dollars to be exact, the can of film looks extremely old, along with the film, it is from 1965, the same year the super 8 came out. Even if it is a family film, it still would be interesting to see. I have always loved old stuff, I have a collection, I even have a Super 8 camera myself. The film is dirty, and covered with dust, maybe the guy who owned it must have been a slob, but who cares, I'll clean it myself.

I should show this movie to her, and maybe that Irish guy, Nigel was it? Nah, hes got better things to then watch a Super 8 film and I got better things to then to invite a co-worker. This thing looks good.

What the Hell did I just watch? I...really don't get what I watched with her. Distorted figures.......with sound might I add. There is NO SOUND on a Super 8 film this old, because it per dates the 1973 type of Super 8 film with sound! After that the film cut to us! Us! How is that possible!? I pulled the film out! Still, something was filming us. This is some kind of hoax, it has to be. But.....
I need to do some research.

This lack of sleep, its killing me, but I would rather not sleep then to see that film in my dreams again. From what I found out, the film belonged to Darrel Kolchak, he was found dead next to his fridge, face covered with bandages, body was burnt. He also got the film from another person, Jessie Van Horn. She was found dead, Jaw smashed, her hair was gone, her face was covered in ash, but there was no fire in the. She too got it from another, and so on and so forth. All the way back to 1965. I have made a tree map. I nearly got all 50. I sent the tape to the police as evidence of their death

I went to police station to ask if they got the film, they did all right, except, what they got was a film of a happy couple on vacation.....they told me not to send stuff like that to them ever again, and gave it back to me.What the Hell...

I tried burning it. Nothing. Tried burying it. I found it on the table the next day. Sent it to the local dump where it would be crushed or burned. It came back.

There is a hole in the wall of my basement.......It was not there before......but it is here now. Going to invite her to investigate it with me. After all, she did see the film too.I need sleep.

6/29/12 (The day before Zodiac was found dead)
This is my last entry. I can say that with out a doubt in my mind, that tomorrow, they will find me dead. That film.....its evil. It is no hoax. That film, it shows you Hell itself. Not only that, but by watching the film, Hell seeps through, and it takes you to act in its masterpiece of a film. If you are reading this. Do not watch the film, your life depends on it.

From what I can tell the last part is in Yiddish. I do not believe in what Zodiac wrote, but then again, all the people who have watched the film have died in odd ways.....could it be true. Hell and all?

I suddenly stopped the tape. Andreea was with him, she was the one with Zodiac, she saw the tape too, yet she was still alive. I pressed play again.

Andreea: I'm sorry...
Zodiac: Its fine....I understand
Andreea: Be careful.

The tape stops there. I realized something, I ran to Zodiac's home as fast as I could, it was night when I got there. I jumped over his fence and into a small window that led to his basement. I put the first film in and play the tape. It was a match. I watched it until the end. It was a perfect match, the tape and film ended at the same. But something happened. The screen flashes red, it cuts to a picture of Zodiac, covered in chains, scratches everywhere. Screams came from not just the tape, but every where. Screams of pain and fear.....everywhere. It was not just Zodiac's, but an entire group of people, everyone who watched the film. I felt tired.......extremely exhausted, weak. My eyes began to shut and the floor came up to meet me.

I woke up. It was day time, and there was a hole in the wall. I left the place. I knew what I had to do. Confront Andreea, and go into that hole

If I am still okay by tomorrow, I will post the news.
