Introducing, the Mongrel + animations that are a work in progress.
All animations are subject to tweaks. I've received critique for these animations, and intend to improve them.
Also, some of the animations are slowed down for the purpose of the video.

I love you both very much.

I'm pleasantly surprised by how you show it struggling to carry the weight of its mace. Realistic and a little unnerving. Big Grin I can almost hear its bones cracking and popping as it walks around.

The "Attack 2" seems a bit off; if the mace attached to his arm is heavy enough to make him lean back as he walks and runs, it will most certainly carry enough momentum to make his arm swing higher after the attack.

Also, the "Flinch" looks like something from the Matrix xD

Overall, these look really good and I'm looking forward to seeing the finished product! Good luck

This is great! The only thing i can really think of to make it better is making the hammer bloody and a little rusty. (not too much of either of course. All in all, GREAT work! I want to see this in game!

I've been given similar comments by both Traggey and other friends.
I've yet to touch up Attack 2, I may have to revamp the whole thing.
And the flinch has been re-done entirely.
Appreciate the critique!

Am I the only one bothered by the size of the mace, and the thin handle? It looks like it would snap under its own 100 pound weight. :x

Can you make him drag the mace on the ground for the run and adopt a kind of 'lurch-run' similar to how gorillas run? It looks like it would be more fitting to the lopsided nature of his character and the animalistic nature of it would be more frightening.

I was actually kind of thinking the same thing, but I think just having it drag the mace only when it's walking would fit better (having it do that while running wouldn't look very menacing, and considering it's running it would probably have a lot of momentum Tongue).

Looks good Smile I noticed it skipping some frames on certain bones during the walk animation. See if you can smooth it out, amnesia being amnesia on animations.
