RE: Games you look forward to?

No, Bioshock one was Straight up Silver Era (non regen health, no gun limit, static hairs, zoom aim, healthbar, no hints) mixed with Hardcore RPG elements. i really enjoyed it.

But what i've seen of Infinate so far is unfortunatly the usual "Dark Era" Cod Clone gameplay, 2 Gun Limit, Expanding Hairs, A.D.S, bloody Screen effect with regenerating health, constant controll hints, the usual Cod style dumbed down Consolised rubbish, NONE of wich was in the original, Brilliant, Bioshock might i add.

the only thing Infinate has in common with the original Bioshock's Gameplay is the RPG elements, but, that is not good enough, the game is an FPS at its Core, and if the CORE FPS experience is wrong, then the whole GAME is wrong. It doesnt matter WHERE it is Set, or what enemies you have, or what the story is, or what RPG abilities you have, if the CORE GAMEPLAY is Wrong, and as Modern Gameplay is INFERIOR to classic in every wich way shape and form, then it is about as WRONG as you can get, then the whole GAME is wrong, because a Game is its Gameplay, first and foremost. anything else is just frilley edges.

to me what i have seen of Infinate is completely UNFIT to wear the "Bioshock" name.

i was looking forward to it, now i want it to FAIL, teach irrational a lesson, Don't Modernise a classic, because modern gameplay SUCKS.

sorry, its just a personal pet HATE of mine, it grinds my gears into powder, gets My Goat into a coat, and makes me see Red from wall to wall. i am NOT cool with it.

You want me to Look Forward to a game, then make a PROPER GAME, not dumbed down console rubbish, hence why im looking forward to Dishonoured, Hard Reset: Extended Edition, AMFP, Painkiller HD and Black Mesa Complete. as they are Proper Games With PROPER gameplay made for PROPER Gamers. HARDCORE, EXPERIENCED PC Gamers, not new gamers on consoles who think gaming didnt even Exist until modern warfare 2.

RE: Games you look forward to?

I swear, all you do is say every game is a CoD clone. It's kind of getting old now. This is how games are changing, I like some of these and they are not "CoD Clones" like you say they are. Simply because there are blooming crosshairs, iron sights, weapon limits (which, in my opinion is better. I hate when people used to run around with an armory in their back pocket. It was overpowered, absurd, and annoying), no health bars, etc. I personally find the old style, such as 007: Goldeneye and Perfect Dark 64 to be outdated. they were fun for their time, but honestly, I think what you have been saying lately is just a whole bunch of complaining.

Yes, CoD is annoying, it's overactive, and the same goes for newer Battlefields. But not every single fucking game made nowadays is a CoD clone. For the love of everything holy STOP saying that. Not everyone likes retro things like you do. But according to the thread you posted in the off-topic, you seem like a pretty modern player to me, only that you like to be super fast and overpowered. I honestly, would never play the game you listed that you would like to have made because HONESTLY, I find it worse than modern Call of Duty. It'd be a shitstorm of bullets and rockets flying everywhere. It almost seems as though you were suggesting Battlefield with a classic touch. I couldn't find a game like that enjoyable. I prefer strategy, teamwork (not lone wolf), and some more realistic touches.

Games are made how they are made. Either play it, or don't play it. I don't like Call of Duty, but I'm not going to sit here and say every game sucks just like it because they took away health bars or put in iron sights. Seriously. You've made your point. Time to move to another subject.

EDIT: "Modern Gameplay is INFERIOR to classic in every wich way shape and form" - this is just so ignorant... I couldn't even bother coming up with a rebuttal for it.

I almost forgot that I'm looking forward to the new Tomb Raider. I haven't searched it, but does anyone know if it will be available for PC?

hmm ps3, xbox360 and PC, expect laggy controlls, Jaggy graphics due to no anti aliasing and Cosntant gltiches with the next tomb raider on the PC then. im sorry, but, console port to pc always results in a Bad game, as they are NEVER optimised properly. i dont mind console ports, but it should be PC to console. not the other way round.

@statyk, i am NOT going to change who and what i am for you, or anyone else, i get obessessed, that means i repeat myself, its called aspergers, LOOK IT UP! you dont like it, fine, throw me off, i dont care, ill just go somewhere else were ill probably have a better time because there wont be so many TLDR trolls and casual gamers.

They aren't always bad. From what I've heard Borderlands 2 is a great PC port. Since I'm a consol gamer I don't know much about the quality of certain PC ports but I highly doubt ALL are bad. But I do agree with you: They should port games from PC to console.

And take it easy, dude Smile nobody has asked you to change who you are and what your opinions are. But you tend to write off every game as a cod clone (which is in your full right to do). But doing it in post after post and never leaving any space for someone else's opinion can come off as rude, even though we all are aware of your situation. There's no reason to get angry.

The amount of facepalm with this one is strong, oh Obi Wan...

And aspergers has no effect over how you repeat yourself. We all get that you hate every single game made nowadays, but people are going to like what they like and you shouldn't argue that a game that maybe THEY want to enjoy isn't up to your standards. People like what they like. If you like retro games, that's fine. Go play them to your heart's content, but don't tell everyone their tastes are bad because they are not yours.

I'm pretty sure many of these proclaimed "casual gamers" could win you over in a "hardcore" environment. Save the hardcore gaming title for people in championships.

Even if it is a port, I will adjust. I don't understand the complaint about console ports. Yeah, some are terrible, but if you take a minute to adjust, it's fine. The only thing I don't like is how the change of mouse speed is between the game and menu. Ever played Dead Space on PC? You'll understand what I mean. But again, I adjust to it, and it's not a problem.

Thanks for the heads up =]

One-sided minds bother me. I said what I wanted to say though so I'm happy.
