Amnesia dark descent vs penumbra black plague

I can't choose between them because they're both amazing in their own way. I loved Black Plagues setting more than Amnesias, though, and Amnesia was more polished.

Penumbra is by far the better experience compared to Amnesia.
More puzzles, more story, more environments, more player thoughts, deeper atmosphere, more plausible horror at all, and more connection to the character. That's very important for a game with emotional story ending.

Amnesia has an unbeatable eerie atmosphere, but Amnesia doesn't scare me anymore since I learned how to mod.

+Monster in amnesia are probably not scary for you but they are still fugly
?: in Amnesia daniel have nyctophobia.
and so in penumbra philip dont have that but with too much time stayed in the dark he will lose some sanity and breath which make him easier to detect
