RE: Dishonored - RELEASED!

Just finished playing a low-magic ghostish run of this and I enjoyed it a lot. The story was quite boring and I didn't get a feel for the setting at all (mainly because the characters are also pretty boring) but the level design, music, gameplay and art style are all excellent (I take back what I said earlier about the cartoony character models, it works perfectly). I just wish it was longer (with more distinct levels) and had more character and plot development. But I definitely think it is worth the $60; it is an expertly crafted game and the replay value here is almost limitless. I'm tempted to start the game up again and do a proper ghost run of it (I knocked out guys now and then), a no-magic run (I only used blink and possession when I had to) or a complete chaos run.

Speaking from personal experience, only do no-magic runs if you're going for the achievement. It is boring, and difficult as hell on difficulties above normal, and is not at all the way to experience the game properly.

Complete chaos runs on the other hand...let's just say after you're done with that, you'll think ghosting is super boring in comparison Big Grin

Well Thief: TDP and Thief II: TMA are two of my favorite games ever so I didn't find it boring. Difficult yes, required a bunch of reloads but really satisfying. Of course, it wasn't a real no-magic run, I used blink every now and then and possession was invaluable in key scenes. But I definitely want to attempt a complete no-magic run some day. Right now I'm recording a ghost run of the game; I'll see how far I can get without using any magic at all. I'm going to try just blasting my through everything (maybe attempting some pure speedruns) though for sure, it looks very fun.

RE: Dishonored - RELEASED!

Okay, so I finally got this game during the autumn Steam sale, 50% off so that purchasing it wouldn't MURDER my budget(more then I already have during black friday sales)

I must say that I adore this game, I am deliriously addicted, I spent 12 hours in one day to beat it, and I want to go play it again, because I haven't even touched on all the awesome ways you can kill people, or sneak around, or found everything.

The only real things I don't like about the game, Are the lack of timers on some of your powers so you know how long they last, and the laughable attempts by the game to make me feel bad about having a chaos ending, when like...maybe that one guy Piero saw any character development? And that was it?

So other then that, really good
