RE: Good Freeware Games?

Noctis IV is an excellent space exploration simulator. May get boring for some people after a while though. It's amazing that it is only about 1 megabyte in size, even though you can explore an entire galaxy that consists of about 60 million stars. The graphics aren't very good either, because of DOS limitations, but the creator, Alessandro Ghignola (most people call him Alex) is making a new version, Noctis V. Definatly worth playing, it's fun talking about new "things" people find on the forums.

its amazing how little bit of memory a game took up. I wanted to play Ultrabots, an old game for DOS. and I don't remember the size, but it was like 1 or 2 MB, just something SMALL. its so small, you look at it and think something has to be missing. where is that big 700-1000 MB file?

Here's the link for Noctis!

http://www.anywherebb.com Just click on 'Noctis' on the top toolbar. To get rid of the 'double bar' problem, go to your home page and then back to the website (this only happens on certain computers).

Hedgewars and Wormux are very good clones from Worms. Maybe Hedgewars are a little bit better than Wormux but at the moment Hedgewars has some bad bugs....also, Hedgewars hasn't yet enough super weapons (like flying sheep or bananabomb) but the creators have promised to add some sweps in their next version.

Hedgewars looked very promising, might try it some time! Smile
Anyway, I tried Wormux once and I didn't like it at all...
