Copyright Question (Music)

Would I get into trouble if I used approx. 40 seconds of a popular song from a OST for the Game's Credits, and then give the rights to the composer? (Hans Zimmer)? Or would that still be considered copyright? If you do NOT post "ALL RIGHTS GO TO HANS ZIMMER" on a YouTube Video, then the video will most likely be removed, is it similar with "Amnesia: The Dark Descent" custom stories? Thanks!

You see, an OST is an official soundtrack dedicated to a game. Using it would require you to need permission from the Game Developer.

Yeah, in order to post it here you're going to need official permission to use it.

Not sure if it matters, since you aren't going to earn money on the CS, so... In my opinion I don't think it would give you any trouble.

Custom stories with copyrighted content without proof of the right to redistribute are not allowed on these forums.
