So, i've been thinking about the 2000 pre-orders get Extra content, and i have reasons that only people who pre order get the extra.
First off, the game probably wont get 2000 pre orders by the end of may, meaning that no one would get the extra content.

I'm thinking that all the people who pre order the game get the extra content, because when you pre order the game they want to feel special *omg that sounds wrong* and lets say we have 1500 pre orders! Than 1500 will be pissed that no one else pre ordered the game. All im trying to say here is that all the people who pre order the game get an extra code or something and enter it in the game, and there you go! Extra content, just for you.

There just isn't much (any) promotion or advertisement for indie developers. There isn't enough resources or man power to do it. Playable beta-demos they could send out previews to gaming sites could help, but that would take time to cut out parts of the game for a separate build, so their situation is a damned if you do, damned if you don't scenario.
I think the easiest thing they can do to help generate sales and buzz is to put their previous games back on sale across all digital distribution outlets - but it might be best to wait until those said outlets have preorder up for Amnesia, or at least a mention of "coming soon."

Why are you so sure that the extra content already exists or that they'll create it before the end of may?

It says on their website if we get 2000 pre orders before the end of may we get extra content.

That might be true, but it's not clear wether the extra content is being produced before the end of may or after. The release date is in august after all, so Frictional have lots of time on their hands on making the commentary after the end of may. If they reach 2k pre-orders of course.

I want this commentary, I'd purchase it separately if needed.

The pre-order is at a 20% discount, and you get the opportunity to support Frictional Games. That's special enough for me. I wouldn't mind a commentary feature but that's not why I pre-ordered.
