[CONFIG] Custom story image appears distorted [SOLVED]

I'm not sure if configuration files help is the right category but it sure comes closest.
Now then I'm having a little trouble with that fun little image you get to see after clicking a custom story
While the image I made looks like this



When I click my custom story it shows up like this



I've been away from making Custom stories for a while now and really can't figure out what the problem is, I hope you nice people can help me out on this one

What did you do in specific? You're supposed to put the file directory in the extra english lang custom story settings cfg.

Yup, it's there, I also double checked the name in the custom_story_setting.cfg

I think it is because the picture must be jpg.
but more importend it has to be a pow2 size.
pow 2 is for example. 32x32 64x64 128x128 1024x1024... or 1024x512 or 512x256.
try that, and if it did work let us know, or we try other solution.

The .jpg thing didn't work, but I changed the resolution and that did it, although my pc completely crashed right after for no apparent reason :p

May I ask what the original resolution was? Also just want to point out that not all images require a pow2 resolution, this being one of them.

From my experience, a resolution that is unproportionate with the windows in the menu will automagically adjust itself to fit within the borders. A resolution that seems to work pretty well here (in proportion and size) is 590x360, though there are probably many other ones that work well. I don't think I've tried with very big resolutions, but smaller ones have been stretched out to fit the size of the window.

It was 960x540 before I changed it

I just tried resizing an image myself to see if I would get any problems, and it seems this was not the cause of the problem. I would just like to know why this happened. Do you think you can recreate the issue? It doesn't seem like the resolution is the problem. Your image was not a JPEG to begin with, right? What was the original format?
