Isn't one month a bit short for bug fixing and tweaks?

I think you misunderstood what FG said

The remaining time will solely be used to test, fix bugs and do minor tweaks.

Nowhere in this phrase it is implied that they will only begin doing that now; they've been bug fixing and tweaking the game for months. It just means that from now on and until the release date, that's what they'll be working on entirely (or almost entirely), as everything else is pretty much done and set in stone.

Who said promo pics can't show a protagonist? In the game itself, yes that is unlikely that we won't see ourselves, FG never takes you out of your character's body. But that might just be a promo pic showing off Simon, not too sure about that.

But if it shows simon then why all the static distortion effect? And this part was for like 2 seconds. I don't think it's simon. It's probably new enemy.

That's the real simon, you (the player) goes crazy thinking your the real one. Only to go berserk and kill the original. Leaving you to fully believe your human just like the rest of the damaged machines you find.
