[CONFIG] Help With Errors

I'm new to the custom story making scene, and I'm having some trouble with playing it in-game. When I tried to start it, Amnesia crashed, and when i went into the hpl file in my maps folder, it said this: "ERROR: Unable to open config file 'MainEditorSettings.cfg'! Invalid filepointer returned!" Any help would be appreciated.

Are you able to start Amnesia normally? If this is a CS, it shouldn't affect that file...

sorry if i wan't clear, but yes i can. the only problem i'm having is that when i try to run the custom story, the game crashes. when i checked the folder with the files in it, it had an hpl file and when i opened it it said that error.

i also looked around a bit and found the MainEditorSettings notepad file, and when i opened it, it was blank. don't know if that has something to do with it, but more info i guess

From where are you reading those files? HPL.log is found in Documents\Amnesia\Main and MainEditorSettings I think is found in your game install folder after installing the HPL editors. You can try reinstalling the editors and maybe that file won't be blank anymore.
