When the demo scares the bajebies outta you, you know its a good game

Well, Game Informer got a review right after all. After seeing their high praise for this game, I had to check it out myself. I promptly downloaded the demo, lights off and everything, and started playing. Saw the first enemy, crapped myself, and turned it off. What did I do next? I proceed to the store to buy it, of course. Now I just have to get the courage to play it...

lol yeah the first time a door opened by itself right in front of me I just froze. Second time in the demo when the baddie started pounding on the door I reacted just in time to get something in front of the door. I'm dead meat.

this is why i'm so angry i can't get the demo working. just watching some gameplay footage made me believe someone had finally put true terror back into gaming. been looking for a real horror game since RE2.

Amen to that. Playing Amnesia, I felt like I was taken back at least a decade into the survival horror genre. Except the graphics were better. :p

Don't spoil yourself by watching videos on youtube, and ONLY play it at night with lights off and headphones on.
It's the best gaming experience you can have with this game.

Unless you get to a point where your mind simply won't let you play anymore. Then you can go ahead and watch the whole thing on youtube and at least then you get to know the story.

Yeah... I did that. I played about a third of the way through and I couldn't will myself to keep going but I was so intrigued by the story I had to find out the rest.
