Issues with a Spotlight

Hopefully this is an easy one, but I also hope I'm not wasting anyone's time. I checked around the forums and couldn't find anything, but if there is an answer, just link me to it .

I had placed a spotlight, everything seems to work out, but when I stand in certain areas + look in certain directions, the spotlight disappears.

I can't be sure what it is that I'm doing, perhaps I'm standing on or at the spotlight entity and it is obscuring it? I would imagine so, but it seems to be random positions that this happens.
