Penumbra ending story

Who is the protagonist in Requiem?
Philip seems to be killed in the end of Black Plague and send an e-mail to his friend.
But who is his friend and how did he come into the thomb?
And why did all the people say "Philip" to him?

Is the protagonist in Requiem not more Philip?

And what did he do?
Killed the Tuurngait, although Philip wanted to help the Tuurngait?

And Red? Was'nt he killed in Overture?

I believe it is all inside Philip's unconscious mind so it is Philip as the protagonist. He did send the email but he was knocked unconscious from behind. The dead philip in the tuurngait tests was simply one of the tests by the hive mind.

Philip did not kill the tuurngait as far as i'm aware. They were manipulating him and gave him the option to either die with red or go back to the ship and start again.

Red was killed in overture, it is Philips memory of him.

Please correct me if i'm wrong. Look forward to playing the next game...
