Solved: 8 Years, 9 Months ago Crosshair and Black Screen

Hi there, I need help with Amnesia: The Dark Descent. What happens is that I started a new game and the first cutscene ran fine, but when it's done, the crosshair is the only thing that shows up. I have one of the required graphics cards, so I can't seem to find the problem. I adjusted all the qualities and everthing, but nothing happened! Any type of help would be great.

Where is the game from? It's an old version so would be good to know so that we can make sure they update their distribution.

An old version? How it that possible? You mean v1.0 instead of v1.2?

The HPL.log file that you copied before is not the one we need. Please attach us here the file HPL.log found under Documents\Amnesia\Main folder. I suspect that the game may be detecting the Intel card (if you have one) instead of the dedicated AMD one. Is your operating system Windows 7 x86?

The log file shows that the game is trying to load from an integrated Intel card. Have you tried to disable it in the control panel?

No, do not disable the graphics card. I will make your laptop unstable. You need to update the drivers to version 2361 in order to be able to play the game. Right now you have 2342 and not 2361. Go to Intel website and download the newest driver available or your system and gpu.
