Similar Horror Games

I'll offer my opinion that 3 and 4 are worth looking into. Any Silent Hills outside of the first 4 are really pretty bad, but 3 and 4 are still compelling psychological horrors, each with a theme.
1: parental love
2: lust
3: anger
4: obsession, attachment

Though I never agree to this statement, it's an off-topic argument so I'll just say these:

0: Loneliness; trying to be tough, while being weak inside;
H: Isolation; self-realization obsession; hatred;

I get scared of horrors very easily. I was playing Metro 2033 and I was jumping out of my skin haha. IMO, I thought dead space 1&2 were great games, but more of an action horror, not that there is nothing wrong with that. I think the atmosphere was great in parts, but it was more jumpy than scary.

I've played Condemned, on the manikin level and one in a small house before burglars come in. That's a scary game, but I wasn't too keen on the combat, died a few times

another good one that i forgot about is afraid of monsters (half life mod) it scared me GOOD and i was just watching a play through. the only thing is some people seem to get used to it pretty fast, still definitely worth checking out though
