if you can:
in a very long dark hallway use static statues like the knights and sculptures that are changing there positions so it seems like they are stalking you step by step this always gives me the chills everytime !
(had experienced it in another mod)

and for the dining room:
I like the scare with the picture there but what if you could put dead bodies on those chairs for a little moment ?

I think this would be another great scare

another idea i always had in mind is:
what if youre in a big room and suddenly light turns off everywhere and faked monsters lurking around ? complete darkness and monster sounds everywhere ...

... and if you dont mind keep the puzzle easy so this custom story can be an awsome scare trip like the demo is now , getting stucked on a puzzle takes away the scare factor .. at least thats my opinion but its up to you anyway at least you could try not making them too hard
