How do you create an ANM-file?

I've been trying to create a puzzle with an animation but I've just realized you need an ANM file. Now, how do you create one?

RE: How do you create an ANM-file?

To create an animation you need to give the entity an animation inside a 3d modeling software like Maya. You can't make animation in the HPL2 engine

IIRC, ANM files are created automatically when the game loads DAE_ANIM files. DAE_ANIM is just a DAE file renamed to have the extension DAE_ANIM.

So I can just use a dae_anim file? A ANM is not needed?
