I thought it could be good idea so it could popularize Amnesia and people could play it more often because they have reason to play it more. Because when you are done with Amnesia TDD then there is not so much to do. Smile

Just I think it could be nice if we could access all modes, maps, models, stories, other on a huge place like steam. I am sure many of you have steam. So if steam would make it like press download button and it downloads to your PC then I am sure you all would like it ^. ^

ModDB is good enough for me and I think CD users would be screwed. I don't see what it would bring over ModDB, it's a no for me ^^.

RE: Amnesia The Dark Descent Steam Workshop?

I think it would be good idea actually.
It gives more popularity to amnesia and greater audiences for people's custom stories and possibly mods.

I think it would be a very good investment though it would probably need a proper marketing campaign along with it to reach less attentive amnesia players and those who have not played in a while and those.

I don't get this amnesia is already popular enough thing I mean
Spoiler below!

MONEY MONEY MONEY
YOU CAN NEVER EARN ENOUGH MONEY GAH!!

Realisticly though I doubt FG gives that much of a [insert bad word] about it for some reason. The fact that they completely excluded CS/mod support from AAMFP( even if it divides the audience they could have just created support for both AAMFP mods and TDD CS in both games) and that they were this late with even starting to get out AAMFP assets support for TDD shows that they arent really interested in focussing too much on expanding in the community and modding area.

If it had to be done though they would certainly need to hire someone to focus on managing this though cause otherwise SOMA would be delayed T.T

RE: Amnesia The Dark Descent Steam Workshop?

FG are not trying to expand modding?

The reason as to why there is no CS support in AMFP is simply because of REMOVED features.

There is no inventory for example, and AMFP runs on the same engine with slight updates which are all being ported to TDD.

There is litteraly no point at all in making custom stories for AMFP.

FG is one of the few companies these days that actually do alow modding and they've provided a plentifull of tools for us to use and do so.

But Steam is by far the most popular platform for this game
